As I traveled through the desert some days ago, I was the witness of the most amazing miracle that ever happened on these lands that have seen me be born and grow up:



The peach colored sand dunes, always pure and bright under the inclement sunlight, and as wide and rippled as the ocean, were covered almost completely by multicolored flowers of vulgar and commonly unnamed species, being their colors those of the clouds, the lavender and the sunflower, yet not comparable to them.

Born of the raindrops the storms from afar brought to this dry landscape and the abandoned seeds deep under the fine sand, they smiled up at those passing by those roads and to the cerulean sky above us all, silently thanking for the gift of life that came from hurricanes at the coasts, and praying for more sacred rain to fall from the heavens and bless our land, ending with the two decades long drought.



Hope you enjoyed the feeling I had when I actually saw that, after 18 years of only sand and sun surrounding our path, and I hope your land is blessed with rain that gives life to nature around you.

Well, nothing so great, if you think about it...... I'm 18 years old now (birth-day: 8:30 am, August 20, 1988)

For people living in certain countries, 18 years mean nothing!!
But here in Mexico, if you're 18, you count as an adult already , able to vote, drink, drive (without the minor-age licence's restrictions), marry, go to night clubs...... and be sent to prison in case you commit a crime.
Becoming an adult comes with many freaking responsabilities, the main one being: whatever you do from now on, and whatever happens because of your decision, will be your fault only; you can't go and say somebody else told or ordered you to do something, as being an adult means you take the responsability for each and every action you do......

Heck, it scares me!! I'll have to protect myself from now on, my parents' can't anymore......
Yeah, I might sound immature and everything, but honestly I'm scared, as many things tend to appear just out of nowhere, and nothing will be able to protect me anymore in case I make a mistake...... Still, I'll continue to practice the various values my parents taught me, which have kept me out of any trouble all these years, and see what happens with my life.

For all the other people who's awaiting the day they'll become adults, think about it: are you ready to take the responsability and to keep yourself out of trouble??

I start college this monday, august 7, starting a career that is the Mexican equivalent to the BIT (bachelor in information technology)

Meanwhile, FF.net hits are around 1997 (1946 fanfics + 51 profile), so better hurry with the fanart, which will now thank everyone for the 2000 hits, instead of 1990.

Also, I'll publish some stuff I have stored on my computer since the last time I scanned (namely, the TOS handless fancomics), but I have to edit them before posting them.
